Like a stream-side thicket of blackberries basking in the hot afternoon sun, the Lewis Cellars 2018 Alec’s Blend captures the essence of summer. A blend of 57% Syrah, 28% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Cabernet Franc, the Alec’s Blend boasts incredible color, aromas of crème de cassis, scorched earth, and chocolate, and layers of prodigious fruit with briar and vanilla spice. It’s rich, full-bodied and concentrated, yet still shows restraint and purity with soft, supple, chocolately tannins that lead into a long lasting finish. A beautiful, compelling wine! Enjoy!
