From Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated on the hillside terraces of the prestigious Yorkville Highlands appellation in Mendocino County comes the highly-rated Le Vin Vineyards & Cellars 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Enthusiast Magazine rated it very strong 92-Points—“A real find. French in style, dry, rich, and elegant. Hints of cherry and cassis are wrapped in thick, fine, tannins and the mouth feel is sensual and velvety. Delicious now, but should hold through the decade.” The wine also took the Gold Medal at the 2004 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Le Vin’s unique mountain vineyards rise to elevations of nearly 2000 feet. Above the fog, in consistent sun, their organically grown Cabernet Sauvignon produces a full, hearty wine reminiscent of the renowned wines of Provence, France. Le Vin’s 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Mendocino County is in very limited supply and with only 372 cases produced; this gem will soon be but a memory.
