The Kobus 2019 Pinot Noir is exclusively produced from the tiny 2.7-acre Kobus Vineyard, located at the foot of the warmer Eastern Hills section of the Russian River Valley. This well-established vineyard is made up of 100% Dijon Clone 113 Pinot Noir vines that were planted in 1998, producing expressive wines with a definitive sense of place. A classic ruby-colored Pinot Noir, this wine opens with a nose of ripe cherry, strawberry and baking spice. On the palate, waves of cherry break in a spectrum of forms like cola, jello, and pie, along with notes of strawberry, red plum, and nutmeg. The structure is firm and laced with dusty tannins that lead into a soft finish. Enjoy!
