The fruit used is exclusively from Kessler-Haak’s cold climate estate vineyard off HWY 246 that was planted in 2005. Nose is somewhat restrained but offers some black fruit overtones with a chocolaty presence. The palate dances with full-bodied fruit flavors and an oak seasoning that favors a mocha finish. The wine is velvety in the mouth and contains firm tannins that extend to a desirable long finish charged with tons of fruit. This 100% Pinot Noir was aged for 10 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels.
