This latest release of Perry’s Blend (formerly called Proprietary Red) features an assortment of aromatics including black cherry, cedar and fragrant hints of lavender. The palate sensation is rich and lush and continues the cherry and oaky flavors with an excellent balance of forward fruit (making it a showy wine) and acid. This one is a keeper and should be good for the next fifteen years and should improve as it gets older. Hardly anyone will actually wait that long to enjoy this red beauty. Really sharp cheeses (Cheshire and Roquefort would do nicely) will accent this marvelous selection as well as hearty meat and most venison dishes.
