‘The Impostor’ is a pet project of Jeff Cohn’s, in which he combines his typically Rhône-centric winemaking mentality with Zinfandel. Each vintage, the composition changes, but the 2013 is an eclectic, ripe, and juicy blend of 45% Zinfandel, 26% Syrah, 9% Petite Sirah, 8% Grenache, 5% Carignane, 3% Mourvèdre, 2% Alicante Bouschet, 1% Black Muscat, and 1% Viognier – sourced from vineyards in Sonoma, Napa, Paso Robles and Amador County. The 2013 Impostor has tons of character with spicy, brambly red berry notes, full-bodied richness and a lasting finish.
