Being a Rhône-centric winemaker, Jeff Cohn’s goal with Misc. Stuff is to create a wine that is very “Châteauneuf du Pape” in feel, while still showing a California expression. A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre, the 2012 Misc. Stuff was produced from the Alta Colina Vineyard in Paso Robles and is equal parts elegant and rich. Aromas of white cracked pepper, Asian cooking spices, blackberry cola, and minerality jump from the glass, while the soft and elegant palate offers a rich mouthfeel of concentrated flavors that leads into a lengthy graceful finish.
