For the Hawk and Horse 2013 ‘Block Three’ Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery team set aside a small lot of their biodynamically farmed estate Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on their mountain vineyard in the Red Hills AVA of Lake County, California. This vintage was blended with a splash of Petite Verdot and the result is a delicious wine of complexity, depth of color and flavor, and wonderful balance of fruit and acidity. Handcrafted in an Old World style, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of ripe blackberry, sweet tobacco, and white pepper spice and flavors of black cherry and herbal notes with a soft, velvety mouthfeel. The finish is long and luscious.
