This Pinot Noir was produced from the Confluence Vineyard, located in the heart of the Anderson Valley, adjacent to the headwaters of the Navarro River. The vineyard offers a range of soils and a variety of hillside slopes and protected pockets, creating a site with great natural diversity that yields grapes with a range of expressive flavors and characteristics.
Goldeneye’s 2012 Confluence Vineyard Pinot Noir is a wine of great complexity and the perfect example of a ‘velvet fist in an iron glove.’ A hearty fruit core of plum, red currant, and raspberry is framed by ripe tannins and toasty French oak-inspired notes of vanilla. Hints of leather, cardamom, cinnamon and anise linger on the finish.
