Premiering the first Pinot Noir for this micro-winery, the beautiful Fennell Family 2019 Pinot Noir is brick-red hued in color with a classic, elegant expression of aromas including briary raspberry, cranberry, and rhubarb. On the palate, this wine is well-balanced with supple tannins and flavors of smoky black tea, Asian spice, and sage that are elevated by lively acidity and wet stone minerality. The long, complex finish lingers long after each sip. This is a distinctive Pinot Noir in that it is comprised of two clonal selections: Clone 667 and Clone 115. While the first clone provides elegant dark fruit notes, excellent structure, and richness, the second clone brings notes of bright red fruits, spice, and high-toned floral aromatics. The result is a wonderfully complex, balanced Pinot Noir. Enjoy!
