The Etrusca 2012 Velia Red Wine is comprised of 50% Zinfandel, 40% Primitivo, and 10% Petite Sirah, and produced from 50 to 100+ year-old vines in Sonoma County. Deep crimson in color, the 2012 Velia offers compelling aromas of dark plum, fig and currants.
Well balanced and with a well-defined structure, the blend delivers luscious flavors of brambly fruit, ripe berries and candied fruits, accented with allspice, cocoa and cedar. Creamy, toasted oak lingers on the finish with soft, elegant tannins. The wine is named for the Etruscan noble woman, Velia Velcha.
