Dyer’s 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from the Dyer Vineyard, a 2.3 acre vineyard situated in Napa Valley’s Diamond Mountain District. The site was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot by Bill and Dawnine Dyer in 1993, making the vines just over 20 years old. All three of the varietals are used to make the Dyer 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, a dark, brooding wine that has really come
into its own with a few years of cellaring. On the nose, primary fruit aromas of black cherries, cassis, and blueberries mingle with notes of anise, sandalwood and tobacco. The palate is rich and bright, while reinforcing the impression of ripe fruit. It is well structured with muscular tannins and has a nice lingering minerality that offers a great balance to the rich fruit flavors. A beautiful expression of the Diamond Mountain District
