Listen to this... Best of Class, Gold Medal, 94-Point rating, all awarded at America's oldest and perhaps most prestigious wine competition, the California State Fair. This wonderful Cabernet also earned a rare Double Gold Medal (unanimous decision by all judges) at the Taster's Guild International Wine Judging. And Both the Beverage Testing Institute and Wine Spectator magazine rated it 89 points. "Refined aromas of black currant, with classy oak notes. Very good," says the Wine Enthusiast magazine.

Made in a classic Bordeaux style, the 1993 Durney Cabernet is very approachable with a gorgeous black fruit and cherry nose that follows to deep, ripe blackberry and black currant fruit flavors. This is a superbly balanced wine; complex, yet very soft, supple, and eminently drinkable. Simply a very impressive wine. The wine's velvety texture makes it enjoyable to drink right now, yet three to four more years will provide additional grace and charm.
