Winemakers Brandon Sparks-Gillis and John and Steve Dragonette of Dragonette Cellars take their Rosé seriously, sourcing the fruit from highly regarded vineyard sites and picking grapes early for the express purpose of making Rosé. They then ferment the wine until dry in a combination of neutral oak, concrete, and stainless steel. The result is a Provencal style wine with a nose of wild strawberry and raspberry, peach skin, blood orange, and a touch of pine and earth. On the palate, the wine delivers flavors of strawberry, raspberry, pear, nectarine, fuji apple, and melon, with acidity-inspired notes of orange peel and stony minerals.
