Dragonette’s signature MJM Syrah, is named in honor of the 3 partners’ wives Mitchi, Jen and Michelle, this wine is a selection of their favorite barrels of Syrah (92%), blended with of Grenache (7%) and Viognier (1%) and then given extended barrel aging for 27 months in oak before bottling without filtration. The 2013 MJM Syrah shows aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, cherry and blueberry, mingled with smoky notes and spices. On the palate, the wine is rich, full-bodied and silky. The wine finishes long and is loaded with ripe tannins and excellent citrus laced acidity.
