The 2001 Dawson Creek Cabernet Franc Reserve Selection is a lovely example of just how good this wine can (and should) be when bottled as a single varietal. This is a superior bottle of wine that delivers the true flavors and complexity of this rarely bottled varietal.
It boasts a beautiful deep plum color with a hint of garnet and an attractive aroma of ripe fruit, licorice and violets. Smooth and supple, with ripe plum, cherry and berry flavors that are rich and impressively complex, followed by layers of currant, and spice notes that are neatly woven together. Smooth tannins with a pleasant finish, this is a very seductive wine that is delicious right now. Enjoy with pork loin roast or rack of lamb. 100% Sonoma Valley Cabernet Franc.
