This wine has the legendary mouth-filling quality of Petite Sirah, plus the surprise of raspberries and blackberries in the nose, with lots of deep ruby color. It was the highest scoring Petite Sirah in the respected, California Grapevine publication. W & S rates it a '92' - "Ripe, rich and smoky, this Petite Sirah was a hit for its southern Rhône flavors. Generous raspberry fruit, pepper and round friendly style. Very complete." The fruit is intense, great balance and downright drinkable. Goes great with hearty pastas, fowl and lamb. You can enjoy it now and it should cellar well.

Shepherds (or Cottage) Pie with Cheese and Leek Topping
