Jerry Mead rated this wine an unheard of '99'! "Intense, deep, almost concentrated black cherry and crushed rose petal aroma and flavor. A great red wine at this very moment and can only become greater in the coming decade." Wine & Spirits magazine scored it a '91' and said, "Everything's in harmony in this showstopper. Rich, meaty character with smoky, cherry and strawberry fruit flavors and balanced, muscular structure. Plenty of well-integrated tannins makes for a velvety texture. Lamb, rib roast or prime rib with horseradish are all suggested matches." This is a world-class Pinot Noir.
