Wine & Spirits magazine rated this wine an exceptional '94' points out of 100, and labeled it the Best American Cabernet Franc. This 1989 vintage is the sixth release and the first vintage of the "Big Three" vineyards that have been selected by Cosentino for the future production of this varietal.

"Cheery and vanilla aromas in an attractive veil of elegant toasty oak nuances invite the taster to a well-balanced and round textured wine...excellent structure, and the signature earthy spiciness of the variety" says W&S. The Alexander Valley property supplied the fruit and balance while the Russian River vineyards added the structure and spice. Robert Parker declared Cosentino's Cabernet Franc as "the closest American wine to Bordeaux's famed Château Cheval Blanc.
