Comartin Cellars’ 2013 “The Porterhouse” Reserve Blend is named after Adam’s grandfathers and the family butcher shop they ran for nearly fifty years. Adam was always told by his grandfathers the Porterhouse cut was the best, offering both the New York and the Filet. In a parallel, and as an ode to his grandfathers, Adam named his Reserve Blend “The Porterhouse” because it is the best “cut” from the winery (the best six barrels), showcasing the depth of Syrah (the New York), and the elegance of Grenache (the Filet). “The Porterhouse” is a beautifully balanced blend of dense blueberry, black plum, cola, and licorice notes with a touch of tartness on the edges.
