This special single-varietal wine comes from the tiny Circle S Ranch in the Cienega Valley of San Benito County. Here, the vines are surrounded by mountain ranges in both the cool Salinas Valley to the west and the hot Central Valley to the east, creating a moderate climate and long growing season to produce grapes with well developed, complex flavors. Comanche’s 2019 Reserve Cabernet Franc opens with a bouquet of spice and raspberry notes before leading into flavors of dusty plums and lush, earthy nuances. The soft tannins give way to an almost savory finish. Impressive and elegant, this Reserve Cabernet Franc is a great choice for any important occasion. Enjoy!
