The Highest Rated Primitivo ever rated by Connoisseurs' Guide! Dusty soil and spice and a splash of sweet oak overlie nicely defined, ripe berry fruit in the nose here, and the wine’s substantial like-minded flavors stay fully in step. There is a distinct family kinship with its winery mates in that this is a somewhat bigger and fairly mouthfilling wine, but its turn of spice brings it a face of its own and lends a singular note of complexity.
Wine Regions of the World
All six of our wine of the month clubs include wines from a multitude of wine growing regions, and as the French say, the concept of terroir is paramount. This idea stretches well beyond France and is a large contributing factor for wines produced in all wine regions around the world.
