Described as a “little cloud of Zinfandel heaven” by Thom Elkjer of WineCountry, the Collier Falls 2003 Zinfandel Private Reserve showcases some beautiful, complex fruit from the charming Sonoma County region of Dry Creek Valley. The estate wine earned a Gold Medal at the highly acclaimed San Francisco International Wine Competition, followed up by another Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Clearly holding a strong reputation, the 2003 Zinfandel received additional praise with a Gold Medal at the Orange County Fair, and a fourth Gold Medal at Sonoma County’s North of Gate Wine Competition.

The wine was aged in both French and American oak barrels for 15 months and the nose reveals enticing aromas of blackberries, soft rose petals, toasted oak, and creamy vanilla. The full mouthfeel with captivating flavors of butterscotch, spice, and a sweet cherry note in the finish make this Zinfandel an excellent wine to pair with pork roasts, pastas, and even dark chocolate desserts.
