As much as we like Chardonnays, it's always nice to have another flavor to match with cuisine. Viognier is a little softer and more flowery than Chardonnay so it goes with less demanding foods. The Cobble Creek Viognier has a nose that is fresh and bright and offers intriguing, exotic tropical fruit scents. Lively in the mouth with gorgeous flavors of pineapple, honey and banana. This flavorful rendition expands nicely in the mouth with lots of up front fruitiness and a whisper of oak-like spice. Nice, smooth, cleansing finish that has you coming back for more. This wine is very appealing right now and yet may improve over the next 10 to 12 months. Makes a great pairing with Oriental foods, especially sushi.
