Produced from the heart of Mendocino County (California’s northern most wine growing region), the Cloisonné 2013 Malbec is rich and complex in style with characteristic dark berry and spice notes. While this varietal is perhaps most widely grown in Argentina and France’s Bordeaux region, Malbec is making some serious strides in California as winemakers and consumers discover its raw power and potential.
Deep purple in color, the Cloisonné 2013 Malbec has bold notes of black raspberry and plum with hints of spice, earth and savory notes. Dark and supple and well balanced with rich tannins, the 2013 Malbec is a powerful wine with complex character. Pair the Cloisonné 2013 Malbec with grilled meats and stews.
