Cloak & Dagger’s 2010 “the conspirator’s reserve” Syrah comes from the Dove Pond Vineyard in the Templeton Gap area of the Paso Robles appellation. This 18-acre site is separated from Cloak & Dagger’s home vineyard by just a narrow strip of oaks and shares the same distinctive West-Side Paso Robles terroir.
The 2010 vintage yielded especially dense, ripe Syrah fruit, and of the fruit, the best of the best was selected for this limited production “the conspirator’s reserve” bottling. Expressive aromas of brambly fruit, cocoa, dried flowers, cassis and clove blend on the nose and perfectly balance the harmony of earthy, raspberry, cherry, spice flavors found on the deep, deliciously complex palate.
