The Clark-Claudon 2003 Napa Valley Ten Year Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon is a classically structured, full-bodied wine. The Connoisseurs' Guide awarded this excellent wine 91 Points- "The new (2003) wine in this nicely made pair from Clark-Claudon is preferred by a slim margin (over the 2002), but, in truth, there is no going wrong with either bottling. Only a touch of complexity from hints of black loam and green olive amidst the ripe, sweet black cherry and curranty fruit, differentiates the two. The 2003 is nicely balanced with a fair dose of tannins and the promise that better will come with bottle age, this is one that can be hidden away with confidence."

Consulting winemaker, Gary Brookman (Miner Family & the Grace Family's Vineyard's winemaker) notes suggest, "This rich Cabernet has grace, power, and sophistication with complex layers of ripe black fruit, spicy cedar, violets, and truffles. A generous mouth feel through to its long delicious finish."
