The Cedergreen 2008 Merlot comes from a pair of vineyards in the Columbia Valley winegrowing region of Washington state - Conner Lee Vineyard and Clifton Hills Vineyard, both located within the Wahluke Slope AVA. Named after a Native American word for ‘watering place,’ Wahluke Slope lies in south-central Washington with one of the driest, warmest climates in the state - thus it is primarily known for red grape varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Cedergreen’s 2008 Merlot offers subtle power, spice and dark fruit flavors, complemented by dusty, soft tannins and a smooth, dry finish.
