Crafted from Jim Carter’s Wild Horse Peak Mountain Vineyards, the Carter Estate 2016 ‘Private Reserve’ Chardonnay is a limited ‘Library Release’ that highlights what great Chardonnay tastes like when it is aged to perfection. This Chardonnay was aged for 10 months in new French oak and the robust richness of these barrels imparted beautiful elements on the wine. The nose offers harmonious aromas of toasted nuts, vanilla spice, apple and tropical fruit, while the palate has a delicate softness to it with subtle caramel and buttery notes that complement the fruit flavors. This Chardonnay has grown in complexity as it has aged, and has the potential to go for several more years. Enjoy!
