The inaugural release of the 2003 Carneros Creek “Grail” Pinot Noir illustrates the level of accomplishment this extremely talented and dedicated team has reached in producing world class Pinot Noirs in California.

The 2003 “Grail” has earned a place with the high echelon by recently winning a very prestigious Double Gold Medal at the International Eastern Wine Competition. On the West Coast, this wonderful wine received multiple-awards including; a Gold Medal, at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition, a Gold Medal, at the California State Fair Wine Competition, a Gold Medal, at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and a Gold Medal, at the Long Beach Grand Cru 2006 International Wine Competition.

The 2003 Grail is ruby red color, with aromas of ripe Bing cherry, spice and undertones of toasted oak. In the mouth, there’s a supple texture with concentration of ripe cherry flavors leading to a rich finish with a lush velvety mouth feel. Fruit from five Pinot clones from the Las Brisas Vineyard were painstakingly selected and blended to produce what many judges have considered to be a near perfect expression of the terroir of Carneros and the prestigious varietal.
