This distinctive, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon took home a Gold Medal from the Los Angeles International Wine and Spirits Competition, a Gold Medal from the San Diego International Wine Competition, and 3 Silver Medals from other major industry competitions.

Displaying a deep color profile, which is characteristic of York Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons, this 2004 vintage from Calcareous has a touch of Petit Verdot that provides a perfect compliment of dark fruit and structure. The strong varietal definition this wine possesses leads to aromas of black currant, cherry, and cracked green pepper. The abundance of black cherry, currant, and boysenberry fruit flavors blends into an attractive French oak influenced, soft texture and a full lingering finish.
