Caccia al Piano’s 2017 Grottaia Vermentino is a blend of 85% Vermentino and 15% Sauvignon Blanc, creating a zesty, fresh, mineral-driven wine that pairs well with all seafood. Straw yellow in color, the Grottaia Vermentino opens with aromas of intense fruit notes that move towards hints of peach, citrus, and whispers of apple. On the palate, fresh fruit flavors are supported by nuances of Mediterranean mint and wild sage. The distinctive mineral notes of a coastal Vermentino come through in the zesty, persistent finish.
