The 2004 O.P.C. is Buoncristiani’s proprietary red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Malbec. In creating a wine uniquely theirs, the Buoncristiani brothers discovered the synergy of marrying carefully selected grapes from some of Napa Valley’s most prestigious vineyards. The O.P.C. (“Ol’ Pa’s Claret”) was named to honor a grandfather and give tribute to their family tradition of handcrafted blends that originated in Tuscany.
Luscious, full-bodied, and generously flavored, the Buoncristiani 2004 O.P.C. received an outstanding 92 Points – Cellar Selection from Wine Enthusiast magazine. Also named a Rising Star of Napa Cabernet and the Hot New Rhône Range Producer by Wine Spectator, the O.P.C. perfectly showcases these well-deserved accolades.
Hedonistic aromas of black cherry, baker’s chocolate, and blueberry lead to a fleshy mid palate of juicy blackberry and earthy, exotic spices with a velvety smooth finish that deliciously lingers on the palate. Try pairing the Buoncristiani 2004 O.P.C. with grilled lamb chops, steaks, and strong cheeses.
