A historical property located in the westernmost frontier of the Santa Ynez Valley, Brick Barn Wine Estate traces its roots to the early 1970’s when it served as an Arabian horse farm, complete with a 36-stall brick barn designed by an Italian stonemason. Today, the property has fulfilled its destiny, becoming a premium wine estate with 35 vineyard acres and other portions of the ranch dedicated to organic vegetable farming and cattle ranching (the brick barn has also been re-imagined as a winery and tasting room). Brick Barn’s 2017 Grenache Rosé is classically inspired, balancing crisp elegance with bright California flavors. On the nose, aromas of pomegranate, watermelon and lemon rind mingle together, while the soft, silky palate complements with radiant flavors of dried cherry, tangerine, and kiwi, all concluding with trailing notes of lime zest.
