95+ POINTSRobert Parker’s The Wine Advocate
“Their most expensive wine, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Prominence, is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in 100% new French oak for 20 months, this is considered their flagship or reserve cuvée. The color is an almost impenetrable bluish purple/black. The stunning aromatics, which emerge from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, include crème de cassis, blackberry, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied, extremely young and vigorous with an impressive future, this is a stunner and a great example from Bougetz Cellars. This wine should evolve gorgeously for 15-20 more years.”

Winemaker’s Notes - Thomas Bougetz
“The 2014 Prominence Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged in 100% new French oak for 21 months, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a selection of exquisite barrels from our Pritchard Hill block in Stagecoach Vineyard, Spring Mountain, and Coombsville sites. This is a full-bodied wine that shows off the power and finesse of these vineyard sites. Offering aromas of black currant and blackberry intermixed with nutmeg and spice, the wine tantalizes your palate as to what is to come. The finish is remarkably long, coating your palate.”
