The Bello Family Vineyards’ 2009 Marsanne is a beautiful achievement of the Rhône-inspired white grape varietal that is known for its rich, nutty character and bright fruit flavors. Although not widely planted in Napa Valley, Marsanne is an intriguing varietal that is starting to gain recognition and admiration as stellar bottlings begin to emerge from the state’s top French-inspired wineries.

Bello Family Vineyards’ Marsanne has a nose of melon, honeysuckle and orange blossom, with notes of apricot and pear. On the palate, the wine is intensely fruity and rich with a core of stone fruit, spice, balanced acidity and surprising minerality. The finish is long and lingering with creamy flavors of melon and apricot. The St. Helena Star awards the Bello 2009 Marsanne First Place in its category for Top New White Wines in Napa Valley. Try pairing this award-winning Marsanne with roast chicken or seafood dishes with heavier sauces. Aged in seasoned Burgundian oak.
