Founded in 2001 by John and Terri Balletto in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, Balletto Vineyards crafts 100% estate grown wines from their sixteen vineyards in the Valley. Here, the ebb and flow of Pacific Ocean fog provides the cool climate in which Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive. The Balletto family was originally in the vegetable farming business and in 1994 had the largest vegetable farm in Northern California, growing more than 70 different vegetables on 700-plus acres. Despite the success, John and Terri could foresee challenges ahead and ultimately set their sights on the wine grape growing business, replanting their property to mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

It has proven to be a very successful business change as Balletto is now an award-winning family winery. Balletto’s 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir is fun and lively with notes of fresh lime and guava set against a delicate texture to make this wine pretty and delicious. The balance is delightful with just enough acidity and weight to make you crave the next taste.
