The Zinfandel grapes were hand-picked on august 30th, 2017 in the Agua Dulce Vineyards located in the Santa Clarita Mountains. The grapes were de-stemmed, crushed and immediately pressed. The juice was held in cold Fermentation in stainless steel tanks until the wine showed a true dryness (>2 g/L of residual sugar) to the taste. The wine was bottled in mid December. Nico describes his wine as, "Geranium pink in color with aromas of fresh rose petal, strawberry, orange marmalade with subtle hints of citrus. On the palate flavors of passion fruit, ripe watermelon and lime zest carry through to finish. This is not your white zinfandel of yesteryear." Here’s to Nico’s Dry Rose of Zinfandel, a true show stopper.
