The Alma Sol 2010 Cuatro Caminos Proprietary Red Wine is a Cabernet based
Bordeaux-style blend from Paso Robles. Cuatro Caminos means four paths
in Spanish, and seemed to be a fitting name for this wine, where the number
four always seemed to appear; the wine is a blend from four vineyards, four
barrels, and four barrel coopers. The Cuatro Caminos blend is fruit-forward and
food-friendly with notes of anise, Chinese five-spice, eucalyptus, currant, juicy
plum, and sweet oak, followed by a lingering finish with sweet tannins.
