The 2004 Ahnfeldt Napa Valley Merlot is a flavor-bursting food wine that upholds the winery's award-winning reputation of smooth, fruit-concentrated Merlots. Blended exclusively from three of Ahnfeldt's best small vineyards, the 2004 Merlot has a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon to add complexity and structure. This is a remarkably textured and balanced Merlot. Expressions of blackberry, licorice and espresso aromas with a seamless flavor entry of rich wild berries, sweet vanilla, mocha, and cedar spice that balances plenty of ripe, smooth tannins on the long finish.
