Aequorea’s 2013 Riven Rock Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a remote site east of the town of Cambria, tucked within the Santa Lucia Mountain Range. From the top block of the vineyard, you can just catch a glimpse of the ocean, yet you feel its presence with its cool afternoon winds that provide a perfect setting for Pinot Noir.
This wine is deep, dark, and rich, with a dense profile of boysenberry, olallieberry, licorice, and chicory. Its full-bodied palate envelopes with dark fruits, warm spices, and butterscotch that lead into a very long finish. (Pronounced ee-KWOR-ee-a_) Aequorea is Latin for “Of The Sea".
