Chilean Tamaya Gourmet Wild Baby Pears
Chilean wild baby pears are not commercially grown but wild harvested throughout Chile. They have an intense Bartlett pear like flavor but are only about 2 inches high. They are delicious when served with a cheese course, sliced, or drained, patted dry and covered with chocolate. Wild baby pears area offered in an attractive jar. In the future wild baby pears may be offered as a food service sized Doy Pack. Kosher certified by the Chilean Jewish Orthodox Community. An exquisite exotic fruit that is harvested in the wild in Chile.
Chilean Etnia Merquen Smoked Chili Corked Bottle
Merquen (also spelled merken), a traditional spice of the indigenous Mapuche people of Chile.The spice is a ground mixture of dried and smoked aji cacho de cabra (goat’s horn red pepper), cumin, coriander seeds, and salt. Merquen is fast becoming embraced by many national and international chefs for use in new and exciting cuisines. This paprika-like blend adds a warm depth, intense smoky flavor, and a fragrant aroma to everything from soups and dips to meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables.
