The 2013 Heritage Vines Zinfandel emerges from the oldest part of the Alegría Vineyards, which was planted 125 years ago as a blend of Zinfandel inter-planted with 17 other grape varietals. ACORN continues the 19th century practice of harvesting and co-fermenting the varietals together. Maroon in color, this wine shows rich aromas of juicy blackberries, vanilla bean and plums. On the palate there are loads of nuances, with plenty of black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice and spice. It is peppery, rich and medium to full-bodied with elegance and style.
