Sagebrush Annie's - Santa Barbara County

Platinum Plus Selection - Two Gold Medals

Santa Barbara County’s Ojai Valley is a rare growing region that has recently been confirmed as one of the most fertile and biologically diverse in California. This beautiful habitat is home to the small, award-winning winery of Sagebrush Annie’s, which strictly produces Cabernet Sauvignon from the best grapes Santa Barbara County has to offer. Proprietor Larry Hogan planted the valley’s first forty-acre commercial vineyard in 1982 and harvested the first wine grapes there in 1985, making him one of the true pioneers of this county’s wine industry. Sagebrush Annie’s is a popular name for more reasons that wine, it’s also the name of the distinguished rustic restaurant Hogan owns and operates with his wife, Karina. Located 50 miles north of Ojai, Sagebrush Annie’s is in the heart of this region of premium vineyards residing along the backcountry border between Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Larry and Karina Hogan not only offer nightly weekend dining, but also grow and tend the grapes that produce the critically acclaimed Sagebrush Annie’s Cabernet Sauvignons. Truly a hands on operation all the way, Sagebrush Annie’s is the product of years of research, experimentation and a continuous overdose of serious, heartfelt work.
