Flying Horse Winery - St. Helena - Napa Valley

Platinum Plus Selection - Double Gold Medal winner

Built over a century ago in 1880 by Napa Valley winegrower William Castner, the historic stone building that houses Flying Horse Winery is one of only a few remaining ghost wineries in St. Helena. The winery was closed during Prohibition in 1920 and was finally rediscovered by Bryant Morris who saw the potential of the building and the surrounding property and he has since been in the process of restoring them to their original beauty. A California native, Bryant has taken his love of play and recreation and successfully integrated it into his life’s work by designing a number of famous water parks throughout the country (Raging Waters & Splash Town) and mastering the unique art of restoring vintage carousels. When the idea and opportunity of producing world-class Napa Valley wine presented itself, the carousel horse seemed like the natural choice for the name and label of the new winery. Bryant sought out winemaking assistance from top industry consultants, May Britt and Denis Malbec, who each have a rich European history and decades of experience. Like the carousel animals that inspired the spirited horses on the labels, Flying Horse wines are handcrafted, each fully expressing the “place” from which they come and every bottle.
