Collier Falls Winery - Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Co

Gold Plus! selection - Gold Medal Winner plus 5 Silver Medals

Amongst the rolling hills of Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley, lies a 100-acre hillside property with a beautiful sixty-foot waterfall. This picturesque landscape has been home to Collier Falls Vineyards and Winery since Barry and Susan Collier purchased the land in 1997. Leaving behind the fast-paced lifestyle of running a Los Angeles entertainment production company, the Colliers finally found their calling and dream home in the friendly, peaceful surroundings of Dry Creek Valley. After their first vintage of Zinfandel earned 90 points from Wine Spectator magazine in 1999,
the Colliers knew they were on the right path. A year later, they brought in veteran winemaker Cecile Lemerle-Derbes, originally from the Champagne region of France. Cecile’s remarkable experience studying, teaching and consulting on three different
continents made her a wonderful addition to the Collier team and she garnered many medals and high scores for the Collier wines. Today, Collier Falls seeks winemaking guidance from Marco DiGulio who shares the Colliers’ belief in taking a minimalist approach in the winery and has become one of the country’s most sought after winemaking talents. His strategies show off the character of Collier’s Dry Creek Valley hillside property, crafting approachable wines with beautiful aromatics and a soft mouthfeel with nuanced flavors of fruit and spice. Enjoy this latest achievement!
