Pinot Noir Marinated Filet Mignon

Pinot Noir Marinated Filet Mignon


Pair this deliciously-prepared filet mignon with your favorite bottle of Pinot Noir!

• 8 (6 ounce) fillets filet mignon
• 3.5 cups Pinot Noir
• 2 cups hoisin sauce
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• ½ cup salted butter, softened
• 1 teaspoon Pinot Noir
• 1 tablespoon minced shallots
• 1 teaspoon ground pepper


In a medium saucepan, mix together Pinot Noir, oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic and oregano. Bring to a simmer, and then remove from heat. Place in the refrigerator 2 hours to chill.

Place filet mignon filets in a baking dish, and pour the chilled marinade over them. Cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 3-6 hours.

In a small bowl, cream butter and 1 teaspoon of Pinot Noir. Mix in shallots, and white pepper by cover with plastic wrap, and set aside.

Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.

Grill marinated filets to desired doneness, turning once.

Immediately after taking the fillets off the grill drop a tablespoon of butter mixture on each.
