Herb-Roasted Almonds
A featured Wine Club recipe for Buttonwood Farm Winery.
Description
Roasted almonds that come out packed full of flavor with a slight smokey taste. Mixed with the herbs, these would be perfect as a snack or even chopped up and served over a salad.
Yield: 1 bag of almondsPrep Time: 4 Minutes
Cook Time: 45 Minutes
Ingredients
• Whole raw almonds
• Almond or olive oil
• Buttonwood Mediterranean Blend or other herb mixture
• Cumin powder
• Salt
Instructions
Spread almonds on a baking sheet and place in a 400-degree preheated oven. Turn the oven off and check the almonds in 30 minutes. To determine if roasted enough, take one out and let it cool before tasting. The almond should be crisp and slightly toasted-tasting.
Let the almonds cool before tossing with the following mixture: olive oil, Buttonwood Mediterranean Blend or other savory herbs, cumin powder and salt (to taste).
