Summer is here! And what better way to enjoy summer eating than with fresh seafood and a great bottle of wine? We share with our members this month Gold Medal Wine Club's all-time favorite recipe - Cioppino!

Cook Time: 105 Minutes


• 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
• 2 Tbsp. Flour
• 2 Onions, chopped
• 1 Clove Garlic, minced
• Handful Parsley, chopped
• 2-3 Green Onions
• 1 lb. Tomatoes
• 1 Green Pepper, chopped
• 1 Stalks Celery, diced
• Dash Thyme
• 2 Bay Leaves
• 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
• 3 thin slices, Lemon
• Salt & Pepper
• Dash hot Pepper Sauce
• 1/2 Cup Greenwood Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
• 2 lbs. Red Snapper, cut into 1-inch cubes
• 1/4 lb. each of Shrimp, Scallops, Mussels, Clams


Blend first 2 ingredients in a deep stock pto. Add onions and garlic. Cook until wilted. Add next 12 ingredients, and simmer 60 minutes.

Stir in Red Snapper, cook 10 minutes. Add shellfish, cook until shells pop open, approximately 3-5 minutes. Serve hot with a side of bread, a squeeze of lemon and a glass of Greenwood Ridge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
