Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients
• 16oz jar of pitted maraschino cherries
• 2 pounds thick cut bacon
• 1 package of 3.75 inch wooden skewers
• Charcoal grill
Instructions
Remove and drain the maraschino cherries. Slice the thick cut bacon in half and wrap each piece around a maraschino cherry, holding together with the small wooden skewers.
To cook on charcoal grill:
Start your charcoal grill, after the charcoal has come up to temperature, spread the charcoal out making a “hot” zone and “cool” zone. The hot and cool zones are important, because as you grill you will need to move the bacon wrapped cherries back and forth, the bacon fat will tend to flame up in the grill when over the hot area. Cook until bacon is thoroughly cooked and starting to crisp. Remove from heat, let cool down and eat while still warm.
